Description
What is a Surdo?
The surdo is a large bass drum that produces a deep and powerful low tone. In samba percussion ensembles it provides the fundamental rhythmic pulse that drives the entire group.
Originally from Brazil, the surdo is widely used in samba ensembles, carnival bands and percussion groups around the world.
24" Wooden Surdo Drum
The deepest foundation of the rhythm
The 24-inch Wooden Surdo delivers the deepest bass tone within the percussion section. Its large diameter creates a powerful and expansive low-frequency presence.
Built with 6mm thick high-quality wood, the drum produces warm resonance and strong projection, making it ideal for supporting the rhythmic foundation of large percussion ensembles.
The 24" diameter generates very deep bass frequencies and long sustain, making it perfect for samba bands, carnival groups and large percussion setups.
Its Brazilian-style hoops and tension rods with locking nuts ensure stable tuning, while the double plastic drumheads provide durability and consistent sound response.
Included Benefits
Pair of 42cm wooden mallets.
Wide strap for comfortable playing.
